BORON CARBIDE

Boron carbide is one of the hardest Man-Made materials, only after diamond and cubic Boron Nitride. It is smelted from Boric Acid and Powdered Carbon in electric furnace under high temperature.

Due to its high hardness, high strength, low density, superior corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity and high modulus of elasticity, Boron Carbide is an ideal material for various applications.

1) Abrasive Grade:

Our Abrasive Grade of boron carbide powder provides the optimum performance in grinding, lapping and polishing applications.
Our plant has strict control in manufacturing procedures from Raw Material test, furnacing, crushing, cleaning, sieving or grading to ensure consistent quality level.

Our Refractory Grade of Boron Carbide is mainly used in carbon-containing bricks and compositions of steel industry as anti-oxidants to improve using life. We strictly control the manufacturing procedures to assure the premium quality.

3) Nuclear Grade

E-Grind provides Nuclear Grade of Boron Carbide, which provides a high concentration of boron atoms. It has been specially cleaned to remove some chemical contents that are harmful for Nuclear application. 
Three Grades available:

  • Grade EA-NB1: Highest purity
  • Grade EA-NB2: Medium purity
  • Grade EA-NB3: Low purity
